What Is a Styling Set? The Easiest Way to a Beautifully Styled Home

What is a styling set, and why we created them

If you’ve browsed the new Nuco Home website, you may have spotted our Styling Sets and Accessory Bundles collection.

It’s one of the parts of Nuco I’m most proud of, because it really brings together what I’ve always wanted the brand to do. To make styling your home feel simpler, more enjoyable and less overwhelming.

The idea came from something I heard so often from friends, family and customers -they knew the kind of look they wanted for their home, but they didn’t always know how to put the right pieces together, especially when buying online. It can be hard to judge scale, height, colour and proportion, and when life is busy, spending hours searching for pieces that might work together isn’t always realistic.

That’s really where our styling sets came from. A way to give you a complete, ready-to-style look, with the sizes, tones and finishing touches already chosen for you.

The hardest part of styling isn’t always choosing pieces

Most of us can spot a vase we love, a bouquet that catches our eye, or a candle holder that feels right for a room. The harder part is knowing how everything works together.

Will this vase be the right size for the bouquet? Do these tones sit well together? Is there enough height? Does the whole area still feel unfinished, even though you’ve added beautiful pieces? That uncertainty is so common, and it’s one of the reasons I created our styling sets.

A Nuco styling set is a ready-made home styling bundle, designed to create one finished look in your home. It could be for a coffee table, console table, shelf, sideboard, kitchen island or bedside table. Each set includes pieces that have already been chosen to work together, from the height and proportions to the tones, textures and finishing touches.

The idea is simple. You don’t have to work out what goes with what. You can choose the look you love, knowing the styling has already been done for you.

How I put each styling set together

Behind the scenes, every styling set starts with a lot of trial and error. I don’t choose the pieces from a spreadsheet or simply group products together because they are in stock. I physically style the combinations, move pieces around, take things away, add something different, step back, and keep going until the set feels right.

Sometimes it starts with a bouquet and vase pairing. Sometimes it starts with a tray, a candle holder or a piece I know would work beautifully in a certain area of the home. From there, I build the set in layers. I’m always thinking about proportion first. The height of the vase, the scale of the stems, the size of the tray, and how the pieces will sit together once they are in your home. If one item is slightly too tall, too small or too heavy visually, the whole set can feel off.

Then I look at tone and texture. Nuco has always had a soft, neutral style, but neutral doesn’t mean flat. I love layering warm stone tones, soft creams, muted greens, textured ceramics, glass, rattan and rustic finishes so the finished look feels calm, but still interesting.

The final layer is often the part that makes the biggest difference. A candle holder beside a vase. A small dish on a tray. A diffuser that adds scent as well as style. Coasters that are actually useful, but still beautiful enough to leave out. These are the details that make a space feel finished, but also lived in.

Designed for real homes, not just photographs

For me, a home should never be just about how it looks. It should feel good to live in too. That’s why our styling sets are created with function as well as style in mind. A coffee table set might include coasters because you need somewhere practical to place a drink. A diffuser can bring a beautiful scent into the room. A tray helps anchor the pieces, but it also makes the area feel tidy and intentional.

These little details matter because they are part of everyday living. The aim isn’t to create a home that looks perfect but can’t be touched. It’s to create beautiful styling moments that you can enjoy every day.

A hallway console that feels welcoming when you come home. A coffee table that feels finished when you sit down in the evening. A kitchen island that has a little warmth and softness, rather than feeling empty or purely practical. That’s what I love about styling sets. They’re not just decorative, they help make a room feel more complete.

Unbox, place, style

When your styling set arrives, everything has already been chosen to work together. You can unbox the pieces, gently shape any faux stems, and place them in your chosen spot. You may still want to move things around slightly to suit your own home, but the main decisions have already been made for you. That’s something our customers have really responded well to. We often hear that people love the idea of having a finished look arrive together, rather than ordering separate pieces and hoping they work once they arrive.

It’s also why our bouquet and vase bundles have always been such an important part of Nuco. Customers love knowing that the vase is the right height, the stems have been chosen to suit it, and the finished look will feel balanced. Our styling sets take that idea one step further by adding the surrounding accessories too.

Why our styling sets are limited

As a small business, we don’t hold huge quantities of every piece. Many of our styling sets are created in small batches, and once one item sells out, the full set may no longer be available in exactly the same way. I know that can be frustrating when something you love sells out, but it’s also part of what makes the sets feel special. They are carefully created around the pieces we have sourced, rather than mass-produced in large volumes.

I’d always rather create a smaller number of sets that feel right than put together lots of combinations that don’t feel considered. When a set sells well, I will always look at whether we can restock the key pieces or create a new version with a similar feel. But because the products need to work together so closely, it isn’t always as simple as swapping one item for another.

Seasonal styling sets

There will be more styling sets added throughout the year, and many of them will naturally change with the seasons. Spring and summer might bring lighter arrangements, soft greenery, rattan textures and fresher styling moments for coffee tables, shelves and kitchen spaces. Autumn often brings warmer tones, richer textures and pieces that make the home feel more settled as the evenings draw in. Christmas is one of my favourite times to create styling sets, because there are so many opportunities to make little areas of the home feel special. A console table, coffee table, fireplace or hallway can be transformed with seasonal stems, candle holders, bells, trees, greenery and simple festive details.

I love the idea that you can refresh a corner of your home without having to completely change everything. Sometimes one beautifully styled set is enough to make the whole room feel different. Over time, I’d love to keep building this part of Nuco, with more styling sets for different areas of the home, more seasonal pieces and more guidance to help you feel confident choosing what will work in your space.

Where to begin

If you’re new to styling sets, I’d start with the area of your home you see or use the most. For some people, that might be a hallway console table, because it’s the first thing they see when they walk through the door. For others, it might be a coffee table, kitchen island, shelf or sideboard.

Choose the place where a finished styling moment would make the biggest difference to how your home feels day to day. You’ll find the full collection in our Styling Sets and Bundles section, with each product page showing exactly what’s included, where we’d style it, and how the pieces work together.

If you’re ever unsure which set is right for your home, you can always send us a photo of your space. Helping customers choose the right pieces is one of my favourite parts of Nuco. A styled home shouldn’t feel like something you need to have a natural eye for. It should feel simpler than that. That’s what our styling sets are here for.
